Calm the body and mind
Try this scan to calm your body and mind.
As you breath in through he nose, bring awareness into your mind. Is your mind busy? If yes, exhale and allow the business to slip away. Knowing anything important you will remember after this practice.
Next scan the body. Begin with the tips of your toes and work your way up to top of your head.
With your exhale, give permission for that area to relax. Often we are not aware of the stress we carry in our bodies.
This mind and body scan help create present moment awareness. Distracting you from the pressures of the day by letting you get in touch with your body and mind.
Once one can identify or bring self-awareness to areas of tension, then you can release the physical and mental stress. The result will leave you feeling restored, rejuvenated and re-energized.
