Workplace Strategies for Mental Health
The Workplace Strategies for Mental Health website is an initiative of the Great-West Life Centre for Mental Health in the Workplace (the Centre). It provides practical ideas, tools and resources from a variety of sources, and is designed to help with the prevention, intervention and management of workplace mental health issues.
A research team funded by the Mental Health Commission of Canada is looking for Canadian businesses that have hired and accommodated employees with mental illness and are willing to share their experiences.
The researchers will want to speak to at least one worker with mental illness, a co-worker, and a manager/supervisor/HR professional. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Rebecca Gewurtz at gewurtz@mcmaster.ca.
For more on employee accommodation, check out the Centre’s Supporting Employee Success resource on the Centre’s website. https://www.workplacestrategiesformentalhealth.com/managing-workplace-issues/supporting-employee-success-a-tool-to-plan-accommodations
