Recovery from a concussion, head trauma or traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a challenge, however, gentle restorative yoga can help with its many therapeutic benefits.
Yoga supports and nurtures growth, not exhaust the body and nervous system. It calms the endocrine system, which relaxes the entire body and mind. This stress reduction can improve post-concussive symptoms, lowering headaches, neck and other pain, feeling of depression and improving sleep, mood and energy levels, all of which also have a positive effect on their memory and mood.

Jayne teaches a trauma informed gentle restorative yoga class. The class begins with guiding participants to slow down, and create self-awareness. Next she guides them through various?self care tools and techniques while encouraging participants to practice self-regulation (non harming of oneself physically or mentally). During this section participants will work on?balance, strength, and stretching poses.
