KidSport KW…so all kids in KW can play

photo 1KidSport? is a Canadian non-profit organization that provides support to under-resourced children and youth 18 years of age and under by removing financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport. We were there to help create awareness and ?donations. Tex along with Kitchener Rangers, Connor Bunnaman, Jacob Cascagnette and Sean Allen were at the DQ on The Boardwalk July 18th, 2015. The Rangers’ players served up some tasty treats and helped support KidSport KW. $1 from every Blizzard sold went to KidSport KW.

Local government reports, that 11,600 children in the KW area live in low income homes and cannot afford their children to play sport. Since first receiving applications in August of 2013, KidSport has funded 264 children and youth in KW

All of KidSPortKW fundraising events and community partnerships are focused on getting deserving kids playing their favourite sport. Our efforts are focused on driving awareness in the KW community of who KidSport KW is and what assistance we can offer for families who cannot afford to have their children play sport. All money raised through KidSport KW events is kept within, and for, the families and kids in our KW community.
